First Mint moves to 1 January 2027
We moved First Mint from 1 November 2026 to 1 January 2027. The reason is checkout: we want buying a card with a debit card or Apple Pay to work the first time, every time, and that needs more testing than November allowed.
Every athlete page that is live stays live, and nothing an athlete or a fan has done so far is lost.
Shipped
- Account safety checks, built and switching on with launch: sanctions screening on payouts and purchases, account holds, and alerts on unusual activity, each reviewed by a named person on our team.
- A head start for backers: when an athlete puts a new card on sale, the people who already back her can get the first hours.
- Signed copies: an athlete can sign a copy someone bought, and the signature stays with that copy.
